Children who are going to join school can come here and perform archana before admission. Here, training is given to write in paddy. Children above the age of five are taught to write on hibiscus flowers spread on a plate.

People who are not eloquent and illterate, they write with paddy on their tongue. It is believed that intelligence will be acquired through this. Those seeking child boon perform oil abishekam to Lord Ardhanareeswarar. Realizing their wishes and to succeed in their efforts, devotees perform abishekam to Lord and Mother and offer vastras.
