This is the first temple dedicated to Lord Ganesha in an area of employees.
Before India's Independence, the Stanes company (coffee and tea powder manufacturers) decided to construct a colony for its employees and completed the colony near Ondipudur. The colony people constructed this Lord Vinayak temple for getting success in their businesses. Later, this temple was expanded with more shrines for deities like Mother Amman, Navagrahas etc
